The completed project was collected on 16mm film with an Ariflex camera and stars Allie Hunter, Heather Dubois, and new to Strouts Ink, Tyler Burke. Supplemental images were collected on a Panasonic HVX-200 and all editing was completed through Adobe Premiere. The film, which was originally penned for a male lead, was shot on location at a ranch in sunny Southern California. It was recently screened at the Riverside City College Film Festival and has been entered into two Californian film festivals. The film's premise? A young, disorganized woman finds exactly what she's looking for when she looks within and takes her own advice.

Because every shot counts and each scene must lead smoothly into the next, even a short film requires a lot of effort. Allie was asked to trip 4 times for the clumsy bedroom scene, and the intro had to be reshot on digital because of exposure issues with the film. As most filmmakers know, 16 mm film being collected on a classic piece of equipment can be unreliable. Nonetheless, the Strout's Ink team learned a lot about old fashioned film processing and earned a new respect for the medium.

Sometimes happy accidents make things a bit easier and a lot of fun – when you see Allie and Tyler trip at the end, that's not acting! A branch sitting in their path tripped them up before they could act the scene out. Nobody was hurt, and because it was a genuine accident, it made the shot perfect!

Of course, every film has a blooper real; it's very rare to get a perfect shot on the first take. Allie's been branching out in her repertoire, and with each successive film she manages to make even the outtakes more fun! Her penchant for performance art keeps her involved in a number of projects, most recently including circus performances, and as her humor and timing continue to improve she continues to engage viewers with increasing ease. The outtakes from Kismet are hilarious! While they didn't make the credits in the original film due to run time, expect to see more outtakes and blooper fun from Strout's Ink soon!
